Hertfordshire County Council, on behalf of the Hertfordshire Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls Partnership, is currently tendering for a Community Outreach Support service for domestic abuse victims and survivors.
Further to the commencement of new contracts for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy (IDVA) service and support within safe accommodation in July of this year, we are pleased to announce that we are now procuring community outreach support for victims assessed as being at standard or medium risk of harm as a result of domestic abuse. This follows significant work to understand the needs of victims and survivors in Hertfordshire, who told us more services are needed for those below the high-risk threshold.
Five double-district ‘Lots’ are being procured to ensure the diverse needs of the victims and survivors living in these areas can be met through the provision of a localised service in each double-district, in line with a place-based approach. The five double-district areas align with Hertfordshire’s current MARAC arrangements.
Our ambition to develop a model of community based domestic abuse provision is to bring together local services, including commissioned services, as well as the community and voluntary sector to deliver a holistic and tailored response within our local communities. This procurement is the first step towards delivering this ambition whilst we continue to develop the proposed model with partners.
The Council welcome bids from providers and requests for providers to express an interest in the opportunity and view the documentation.
Tender documents are now available to view and we welcome clarification questions from providers until 12 noon on 14 November 2022.
